PENERAPAN STRATEGI THINK TALK WRITE (TTW) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI DAN DISPOSISI MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan disposisi matematis pada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi Think Talk Write (TTW) dan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kombinasi (mixed methods) dengan model penggabungan KUANTITATIFkualitatif dan desain concurrent embedded design. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas 8-7 dan 8-5 SMPN 7 Cilegon tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang keduanya memiliki jumlah siswa sebanyak 34 siswa, dengan kelas 8-7 sebagai kelas
eksperimen dan 8-5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, skala disposisi matematis, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dokumentasi, serta peneliti itu sendiri. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan bantuan SPSS Statistics Version 20, dengan didukung data kualitatif yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu : (1) pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan
strategi TTW lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, dan (2) pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan disposisi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan strategi TTW lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the achievement and enhancement of
student?s ability in mathematical communication and disposition who received the
study with Think Talk Write Strategy and conventional study. The method of this
research is combination method (mixed method) with incorporation of
QUANTITATIVE-qualitative and concurrent embedded design. Sample of this
research are students in 8-7 and 8-5 class of the State Junior High School 7
Cilegon in the year 2015/2016 which both of the class has 34 students, with 8-7
class as experimental class, and 8-5 class as control class. Instrument used in this
research are mathematical communication test, mathematical disposition scale,
observation sheet, interview guidance, documentation, and the researcher itself.
The analysis of quantitative data use SPSS Statistics Version 20, which is
supported by qualitative data that analyzed by triangulation technique. The result
of this research are : (1) achievement and enhancement of student?s ability in
mathematical communication who received the study with Think Talk Write
Strategy is better than students who received the conventional study, and (2)
achievement and enhancement of student?s mathematical disposition who received
the study with Think Talk Write Strategy is better than students who received the
conventional study.
